Don Miller branchiosaur

Typical branchiosaur fossil

Branchiosaurus is a prehistoric amphibian from the Permian Period. Their fossils are commonly collected from Pfalz, Germany. They are a fairly common sight at fossil shows and can be attained for reasonable prices, depending on the size and quality of the specimen. New laws enacted in Pfalz, however, mean that Branchiosaurus can no longer be collected from the area. As such, no new branchiosaur fossils can be collected and the specimens remaining in the international market are the only ones that can be sold in the future.
